BIO

The duo formed by the Sevillian cellist Jorge Gresa and the Mallorcan pianist Albert Colomar was born in September 2017 in Utrecht, where they both carried out their postgraduate studies. There they discovered to have an enormous personal and artistic affinity and, as a result of this strong bond, a project of making music together naturally began.

While in the Netherlands, they worked regularly with Timora Rosler, Klára Würtz and Sebastián Colombo. Concurrently, they received advice from other musicians such as Sebastian Koloski or Mikhail Zemtsov. Also, they have actively participated in masterclasses by internationally renowned teachers such as Adrian Brendel, Katya Apekisheva, Kyril Zlotnikov, Gregor Horsch, David Korevaar and Eldar Nebolsin.

To date, they have performed in venues such as the Big Hall of TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht, the Cajasol Foundation Theater in Seville, the Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts in Barcelona and the Ireneu Theater in Palma. In addition, they have taken part in several series such as Noches en los Jardines del Real Alcázar in Seville, Música als Parcs in Barcelona and those of the 'Jeunesses Musicals' of Ciudadela, Mahón and Chipiona.

In February 2020, they participated in the 96th call for the Musical Youth Competition of Spain (strings), where Gresa obtained the second prize.
