Born in Palma de Mallorca, Albert Colomar entered the Conservatori Professional de Música i Dansa de Mallorca at the age of 8. Here he began his studies with Juan Miguel Arrom and, later, with María del Hoyo. He also received special recognition from Iván Cítera and Leonid Sintsev. In 2010 he graduated from middle school with high grades. In 2012 he entered the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu de Barcelona, under the tutelage of José Enrique Bagaría. During the same period, he received coaching from renowned pianists such as Dina Yofe, Akiko Ebi, Itamar Golan, Vesko Stambolov, Alba Ventura, Oliver Triendl, Daniel Blumenthal, Tensy Krismant, Antoni Besses, Sebastian Colombo and Daniel Vaiman. As a chamber musician, he received lessons from Michel Wagemans, Alan Branch, Raimon Garriga, Isaac Rodriguez, Daniel Garcia, Paul Cortese, Juan B. Doménech, Othmar Müller, Michel Lethiec, Jan Talich, Roman Patoka, etc.
His continued interest in vocal music has led him to work with Josep Surinyach, Alan Branch, Selma Harkink, Drobinka Yankova, Jeroen Sarphati, Mariken Zandvliet, Eulàlia Ara and Eugènia Gassull. He completed his Bachelor degree in 2016, and in 2017 graduated as Master in Performance with merit from the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu de Barcelona.
Currently, Albert Colomar is studying for a master degree in chamber music at the Conservatory of the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (HKU) with professors Sebastián Colombo and Klára Würtz. He has also received coaching from other musicians such as Sebastian Koloski, Mikhail Zemtsov, Martyn van den Hoek, Jeroen Sarphati, etc.
He has performed in a variety of venues in Spain, France and the Netherlands, as well as working for several schools as a teacher and as an accompanist.
